The high right bank of the Piani River, on which the village is located, consists of shell rock and alabaster. At a shallow depth passes a layer of decorative colored stone. Spilling in the spring, Drunk eroded the banks, and in this place a huge cave with snow-white anhydrite was formed, which had various shades: bluish, yellowish, pink. Academician L.V. Dahl described the unique Bornukovsky stone: "... pure as sugar, sometimes fibrous, sometimes transparent, like glass." The first attempts at decorative processing of Bornukovsky stone were made around the middle of the 19th century, but a difficult fate awaited him. Sculptures from Bornukovsky anhydrite, striking in their beauty and originality, were exhibited at the best exhibitions in Europe, they adorned the palaces and castles of the most prominent Russian families.
